A European location is a selection criterion, not a conclusion about data or service quality. Check the specific product, available region and complete processing chain.
When a project requires European placement, start with a specific location and product. Headquarters, website language and availability of an ordinary VM do not establish the required GPU in that region.
Current to 1 November 2026, this is an editorial research list, not a speed, cost or legal-protection ranking. We performed no independent site tests and use no affiliate links.
Selection method
We included providers whose official pages support investigation of both GPU resources and European locations. The criterion combines verifiable geography with suitable infrastructure format. Check configuration, account and required-period access before the pilot.
This does not imply every service operates in the same places. A European region alone also does not establish permission to process your data. Define requirements and inspect the complete selected service chain.
Candidates and primary evidence
| Provider | Confirmed starting point | What to clarify |
|---|---|---|
| Hetzner | GEX catalogue with European locations | Plan and complete dedicated node |
| OVHcloud | Public Cloud regional-availability map | GPU and dependencies in the selected zone |
| Scaleway | GPU catalogue with European zones | Configuration and applicable placement |
| Hyperstack | Documented NORWAY-1 region | Flavours and regional capabilities |
This does not establish the same card at all four. It identifies the starting document to connect with the location decision.
Move from geography to architecture
Identify where model, test data, logs, backups and management services reside. If another supplier hosts part of the system, one European GPU does not describe the full information path.
Check client networking and inter-node connections. One region’s capabilities do not transfer automatically. Distributed models especially need verified networking rather than several devices with adequate memory alone.
Compare offers
A hypothetical team selects acceptable locations, then requests the same configuration requirements. It separately estimates compute, storage, transfer and support. Dedicated-server and VM management differences remain explicit.
A short test checks quality, latency, recovery and storage. Another region requires another check. The useful result is confirmed conditions and limitations, not a broad “European cloud” label.
Include owned GPUs
Equipment already at a European site can also be compared under appropriate conditions. Describe configuration, availability, network and operations. That does not automatically establish compliance with every external requirement.
