Qualify the observed workload and the flow-through chassis layout together.
NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition is assessed here as an exact Blackwell board configuration. Its published 96 GB capacity is the starting point for a workload qualification, not a measured serving or rendering result.
Exact model and memory variants
The 96 GB Workstation Edition has a tall double flow-through cooler. It differs physically from 300 W Max-Q and passive Server Edition boards.
| Variant | Memory | Published board power | Cooling / format |
|---|---|---|---|
| NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition | 96 GB GDDR7 ECC | 600 W | Double flow-through, active; 5.4 x 12.0 in; dual slot |
Specifications: Official product/support documentation.
LLM backend and memory budget
Large single-device memory candidate for compatible Blackwell inference builds. Validate package support for sm_120 and the chosen numerical format; 96 GB is not a model-size or concurrency guarantee.
Passing the architecture requirement does not certify every model, quantization kernel or prebuilt package.
Compatibility evidence: vLLM GPU requirements.
Cycles and batch rendering
RTX ray-tracing candidate for Cycles; validate complete scene and render backend. The tall flow-through board needs chassis clearance and an unobstructed exhaust path.

Integration into a server or workstation
A nominal dual-slot position does not establish clearance for a 5.4-inch-high board. Check the chassis drawing and connector space. Preserve separate display-attached and headless memory baselines.
A concrete qualification scenario
A visualization workstation alternates between a large scene and local inference. Run each alone, completely stop the first application, then load the second. Repeat with normal monitors attached. A different free-memory baseline reveals workstation overhead; it does not alter the physical96 GB capacity. Retain both outputs and launch settings.
The evidence to retain
Keep an ordinary qualification record with the actual test outputs.
Identify the tested variant, software build and execution mode before entering observations. Leave unavailable measurements explicitly unknown.
The fields below separate published specifications from observed allocation and job completion, so a later operator can repeat the same case.
| Evidence field | What this profile must retain |
|---|---|
| Hardware identity | NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition; physical variant and reported device identifier |
| Memory boundary | 96 GB published; observed free memory before and after loading |
| Inference artifact | Exact weights digest, quantization, context and offload configuration |
| Render artifact | Scene digest, renderer version, backend and denoising setting |
| System envelope | Driver, container/build digest, enclosure and cooling configuration |
| Completion evidence | Application exit status, output validity and observed memory failures |
