Distinguish Hetzner GPU VPS searches from dedicated GEX root servers, including resource format, administration, scaling expectations and the first pilot.

A search for Hetzner GPU VPS should start by identifying the actual product required. Hetzner's published GEX GPU catalogue consists of dedicated root servers. That has different administration and resource-management implications from an ordinary cloud virtual machine. A search suggestion does not confirm a desired GPU VPS plan exists.

## Confirm the catalogue product

Read the full GPU-server specification and current order terms. GEX describes physical server configurations, not arbitrary attachment of a GPU to every cloud VPS. Check the selected model and ordering availability rather than relying on a remembered product name.

If the project needs frequent creation and removal of small virtual environments, state that requirement directly. A dedicated server may still be useful, but its operating workflow must be evaluated on that basis rather than through the word cloud alone.

## Compare the resource formats

| Criterion | Ordinary cloud VPS | Dedicated GEX |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Resource | Virtual machine of a supported type | Physical catalogue root server |
| GPU presence | Must be confirmed for that product | Part of the specified configuration |
| Management | That cloud product's tools | Robot and operating-system access |
| Capacity change | Supported VM operations | Options of the selected server line |

This does not assert that an ordinary Hetzner VPS can be converted into a GPU machine. Such a capability needs a separate confirmed product rather than an analogy with CPU resizing.

## Plan operating-system responsibility

Root access offers control over the OS, driver and application. It also means the team needs a clear setup and recovery process. Ordering a GPU server does not create a ready model endpoint automatically.

Assign an operator to prepare the environment, check disks and networking, and document updates. Include that work when comparing against a prepared research environment. Preserve a working configuration before updates and verify a small workload afterward, with an understandable rollback route.

## Run a first-week pilot

A team planning several continuous sessions on one configuration can test access, environment installation, a short run, export and reboot recovery. Another team changing accelerator type several times a day must assess how replacement and data movement would work in this format.

Write minimum VRAM, system RAM, disk space, duration and control requirements before ordering. Match the complete scenario against a concrete GEX offer. A successful run on one GPU does not by itself establish that every administrative expectation from a cloud VM applies to the dedicated server.

## Turn the check into a practical next step

The confirmed GEX GPU catalogue is a dedicated-server product. Do not transfer ordinary Cloud VPS properties to it without checking the actual service.
