## Xp is not a generic TITAN X name

TITAN Xp uses Pascal, 12 GB GDDR5X and NVIDIA specified board power of 250 W. TITAN X Pascal and GTX TITAN X Maxwell are other identities. Shared TITAN branding and similar capacity do not justify transferring specifications. The table concerns one GPU. Preserve device identity, board documentation and baseline VRAM for an existing Xp. Historical marketing performance is not a current LLM TPS measurement. Start with a specific software path and workload file rather than assuming a familiar CUDA name supports every operation in today's library. Keep original identity with every test result.

## Choose a verifiable Pascal inference path

[NVIDIA lists CC 6.1](https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda/gpus/legacy), below the [current vLLM minimum of 7.5](https://docs.vllm.ai/en/latest/getting_started/installation/gpu/), so standard compatibility with that backend is not claimed. Investigate a [llama.cpp CUDA build](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp/master/docs/build.md) independently with pinned commit and architecture target. [CUDA 13 removes pre-7.5 offline compilation](https://developer.nvidia.com/blog/navigating-gpu-architecture-support-a-guide-for-nvidia-cuda-developers), requiring a compatible legacy toolkit, such as suitable CUDA 12, and a supported driver. This does not guarantee every current quantization kernel. Begin with bounded generation, actual GPU layers and host RAM observations. A program that launches but computes on the CPU cannot become evidence of Xp GPU inference. Preserve the actual execution mode.

## Use Cycles requirements independently

[Blender 5.2](https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/cycles/gpu_rendering.html) specifies CUDA CC 5.0 and OptiX conditions including driver 575 or newer. Pascal clears the general hardware floor, but a supported build/driver combination and detection remain necessary. Xp has no RTX RT cores, which does not universally prohibit an OptiX software path. Run a saved scene and check backend, VRAM/RAM and image. Explicitly record system memory or another GPU's involvement. Other renderers' compatibility and speed remain separate questions. One small successful project defines neither a largest scene nor every supported material. Preserve the scene package and settings as evidence.

## Inspect the binary environment

The worker manifest keeps architecture target, toolkit, compiler boundary and driver alongside models and assets. A GPU name variable cannot fix missing device code. The binary must actually target the architecture and use supported operations. Repeat a bounded corpus after environment upgrades. Verify supply, connectors and cooling; 250 W concerns the board rather than the whole host. Observe CPU and RAM during offload. Several Xp cards do not automatically create one 24 GB application address space. Normal validation needs neither forced clocks nor disabled protections to bypass software limitations. Investigate the supported path instead of changing unrelated hardware settings.

## Preserve a reproducible legacy record

The package contains TITAN Xp identity, binary versions and hashes, LLM manifest, scene project and results. If GPU operations cannot execute, inspect target and toolkit. If memory constrains work, change the budget in another experiment. CPU-only execution is a separate status. The decision concerns a verified Pascal environment rather than current vLLM or every new wheel. It promises neither known TPS nor a specific model fit or universal rendering. This profile supports assessing existing 12 GB hardware without inventing support or mixing Xp with other TITAN X generations. Keep unresolved capabilities visible alongside passing workloads.
