## Identify the original non-Ti model

The RTX 3070 has 8 GB GDDR6 and reference board power of 220 W. The RTX 3070 Ti remains in the same capacity class but uses another memory type and power specification. Keep the ordinary card's full name and AIB design. The table gives memory per GPU. Available capacity depends on display use and resident processes. Gather a server baseline before validating a particular LLM and scene. Ampere is not an automatic answer about every model's support or the relative speed of two 8 GB cards. Establish those separately using the intended environment.

## Make offloading observable

[vLLM](https://docs.vllm.ai/en/latest/getting_started/installation/gpu/) has hardware and software requirements; clearing its minimum CC does not certify every dtype or kernel. When selecting [llama.cpp CUDA](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp/master/docs/build.md), preserve build options, GGUF identity and actual layer placement. A useful RTX 3070 comparison holds prompt and output limit fixed while examining intended offload settings. Record RAM and readiness when the CPU participates. A process appearing in GPU telemetry does not prove entirely GPU execution. Weight file size, resident allocations and KV cache are different components. Loading successfully still does not establish context and service concurrency limits. Preserve the actual path in the report.

## Accept Cycles independently

Test [Blender Cycles CUDA or OptiX](https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/cycles/gpu_rendering.html) using a saved project with known textures and geometry. Supporting backends use RTX hardware tracing, while every renderer needs its own feature support check. On the 3070, record selected GPU, memory and image. If VRAM is insufficient, observe host involvement and identify that mode. A partially offloaded LLM does not establish that a scene can execute the same way. Keep manifests and results separate. Scene file size also differs from runtime footprint: preparation structures, assets and other processes can alter actual device and host memory consumption.

## Account for placement resources

When inference uses RAM and CPU, the queue should account for them alongside the GPU. Otherwise individually admissible jobs can contend for a shared host resource. Record CPU policy, RAM, storage path and software image for the RTX 3070. Preserve those conditions when transferring work or explicitly describe differences. Reference 220 W is not the entire hybrid task's power budget. Verify supply, connectors and airflow for the actual board. Normal operating modes are sufficient for diagnosis: forcing clocks or disabling protections does not establish which component performs the work or constrains the pipeline. Placement needs observation rather than assumptions.

## Preserve verified placement evidence

The record contains model and scene manifests, offload settings, observed GPU/CPU involvement, statuses and memory maxima. If changing GPU layers changes host footprint, investigate placement; if failure occurs before device detection, inspect build and runtime. With correct placement but limited context, examine KV budget. The decision describes the RTX 3070 in a selected hybrid or local mode. It promises neither fit for every 8 GB file nor equal behavior across engines or a known token rate. A saved configuration reproduces the observed execution path rather than merely repeating the hardware name.
