Radeon RX 7900 XTX provides 24 GB GDDR6 on one GPU. That is verified physical capacity of an individual device, not memory that automatically combines with another card to hold one model.

## Official variants and the memory boundary

The table follows [AMD materials for this model](https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/desktops/radeon/7000-series/amd-radeon-rx-7900xtx.html). It describes dedicated device memory, not system RAM. A “not verified” entry preserves a source gap; a neighboring configuration cannot supply the missing specification.

| AMD variant | Dedicated memory | Board power |
|---|---|---|
| [24 GB](https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/desktops/radeon/7000-series/amd-radeon-rx-7900xtx.html) | 24 GB GDDR6 | 355 W |

## Establish the LLM software path

The [ROCm Core SDK 10.1.0 device list](https://rocm.docs.amd.com/en/docs-10.1.0/about/release-notes.html) includes Radeon RX 7900 XTX. This is an exact hardware entry, not approval for every operating system, PyTorch build, or quantization format. Select the specific GPU and OS in the [compatibility matrix](https://rocm.docs.amd.com/en/latest/compatibility/compatibility-matrix.html), then record the driver, runtime, and framework release. A listed card does not establish that every kernel used by an inference engine works correctly. Establish device detection, loading of a saved model revision, and a reference request before exploring sustained operation or concurrent requests.

## A practical scenario for this model

The task is evaluating a hypothetical dense 32 billion parameter model represented at 4 bits per weight. Raw weights alone require 16 billion bytes; the remaining nominal capacity does not all become KV-cache budget because the runtime also retains additional tensors and working buffers. Observe actual memory after loading and a reference request before increasing one workload parameter. If a second XTX is planned, choose an engine-supported partitioning scheme explicitly: two 24 GB boards are not one 48 GB device. Preserve GPU ordering and component placement, otherwise a later run may use a different communication layout and need another functional comparison. A second board changes the topology as well as the available collection of devices.

## Validate Blender Cycles separately

RDNA 3 meets the HIP hardware floor in the [Blender Cycles 5.2 LTS manual](https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/cycles/gpu_rendering.html): RDNA 1 or newer. This renderer requirement is independent of ROCm LLM support; validate the actual driver, build, and scene on the intended machine.

For a scene intended for two GPUs, verify the renderer memory requirements on each device separately. A combined 48 GB figure cannot establish that a monolithic scene fits on each card.

## Preserve a machine-level acceptance record

The table gives AMD board-power specifications, not measured whole-computer consumption. Check the power supply, connectors, card dimensions, and airflow path for the actual system separately. Board power cannot establish inference speed.

Preserve device lists and placement topology rather than only aggregate machine memory. The 355 W specification describes one board, not the consumption of the complete two-card computer.

The acceptance artifact should connect board identity, software versions, model revision, and the workload actually exercised. After any of those changes, the old result describes its original run rather than establishing compatibility of the new configuration.
