AMD Instinct MI350P is assessed here as an exact CDNA 4 board configuration. Its published 144 GB capacity is the starting point for a workload qualification, not a measured serving or rendering result.

## Exact model and memory variants

MI350P is a 144 GB HBM3e CDNA4 PCIe server board. AMD lists a 600 W maximum and a configurable450 W mode; these are not two independent GPU models.

| Variant | Memory | Published board power | Cooling / format |
|---|---|---|---|
| MI350P PCIe | 144 GB HBM3e | 600 max / 450 configurable W | Passive; PCIe server board |

Specifications: [Official product/support documentation](https://www.amd.com/en/products/specifications/accelerators.html).

## LLM backend and memory budget

For gfx950, validate the exact ROCm configuration and engine operations.144 GB is not the memory of MI350X OAM. Preserve the selected power mode when qualifying model and context.

A ROCm support entry does not certify every inference engine, model kernel or quantization format.

Compatibility evidence: [ROCm compatibility matrix](https://rocm.docs.amd.com/en/latest/compatibility/compatibility-matrix.html).

## Cycles and batch rendering

CDNA4 remains distinct from RDNA. Standard Cycles5.2 HIP requirements do not certify this accelerator merely because ROCm is current or memory is larger. The selected renderer needs separate compatibility evidence.

## Integration into a server or workstation

Match the passive PCIe board to the vendor-approved chassis and power connection. Record whether the actual run uses the 600 W maximum or450 W configuration. A PCIe form factor does not make its installation equivalent to an ordinary desktop graphics card or an OAM module.

## A concrete qualification scenario

A server team evaluates MI350P because its host accepts PCIe accelerators rather than OAM. Preserve the supported physical configuration and first run one fixed144 GB-bounded model/context case. If both power modes are evaluated, keep separate manifests with unchanged weights and runtime settings. Do not transfer MI350X 288 GB residency conclusions. The evidence must explain the actual PCIe SKU, selected power setting and observed execution outcome.

## The evidence to retain

Keep an ordinary qualification record with the actual test outputs.

Identify the tested variant, software build and execution mode before entering observations. Leave unavailable measurements explicitly unknown.

The fields below separate published specifications from observed allocation and job completion, so a later operator can repeat the same case.

| Evidence field | What this profile must retain |
|---|---|
| Hardware identity | AMD Instinct MI350P; physical variant and reported device identifier |
| Memory boundary | 144 GB published; observed free memory before and after loading |
| Inference artifact | Exact weights digest, quantization, context and offload configuration |
| Render artifact | Scene digest, renderer version, backend and denoising setting |
| System envelope | Driver, container/build digest, enclosure and cooling configuration |
| Completion evidence | Application exit status, output validity and observed memory failures |

Record the selected450 W or600 W setting, not merely the maximum; an unchanged144 GB capacity does not identify the same operating configuration.
